In the depths of an inhospitable jungle on an unexplored island, a lemur lives that has never seen the ground. It leaps between trees, relying on its eight hands to cling to the slippery wet branches. When the trees are too far apart, like across a river, it soars - unfurling a skin membrane between its arms to allow it to glide. It eats the small larvae that burrow into trees, digging them out of the wood with long, talon-like fingers. For a treat, it’ll eat fledgling birds that have yet to fly, using its sharp teeth to steal them quietly before the mother notices. Large ears give it precise hearing, important in the dim canopy, especially when it’s all moving too fast to focus on one spot. Its fur pattern is fairly standard, cream counter-shading with a mottled brown-grey back, with a bushy flat tail and ear tufts. Created for Gary Jacobs - Organic Model Project
