This is my second entry for the quadcopter challenge. for this frame, I added some wing like structures that blend from the mainframe into the motor support arms. I also added a few other small things. The biggest change would be the hollowed out support arms. There is a honey comb like structure inside to help give the hollow frame some support.I developed a custom workflow to create this model. I used generate to create the propeller motor support arms. I modeled the main frame in a solid modeling programand exported the frame cad model and the support arm stl into a program called zbrush. From there, I used a special feature called dynamesh, which is sort of like a shrink wrap tool. After I have my dynameshed model, I use another tool to reduce the poly count of the mesh and then I export the model as an obj. I finally bring the obj model back into the cad program where I check for any issues with the mesh.
