AMD CPU Holder/Box

AMD CPU Holder/Box

This is a neat little box you can use to store a CPU in. This should fit most AMD CPUs, but it will definitely fit 754, 939, AM2, AM2+, AM3, and AM3+. It might fit FM1, FM2, FM2+, or AM1, but I haven't tried it out. It may also hold other CPUs of the same size. You may have to rotate this in your printing software. I had to in XYXware Pro, but it shouldn't be hard to do. I test printed this using a blue PLA, on an XYZPrinting Da Vinci Jr. 1.0 Pro at 200c, with no supports, no rafts, and 10% infill. Should work fine using any plastic or infill type, but I recommend 10%. The holder is in two parts, each a different STL file, and I recommend printing separately. The bottom piece is 10mm high, and the top is 12.5mm high. The inside is 10mm tall. The box is 48x48mm large, and the inside is 42x42. Filing may be needed on some of the inside parts depending on the quality of your 3D printer. I just had to file down a bit of sprew-like pieces that shouldn't be there. The box should fit together snugly, and look decently flush around the outside. You may want to stick a small piece of soft anti-static foam, but this should not be needed, so long as you do not excessively shake the box with a CPU inside. Was tested using a 754 Athlon64 3200+, and designed off the AM3 size specifications from AMD. Designed using Autodesk's Fusion 360.
