Amigo (Friend) SLCD Camming device

thingiverse

This is my first project with my new 3D printer. It seems to have turned out well so I wanted to share it with all of you. The design is heavily inspired by Ray Jardine's original "Friend". This SLDC is manufactured by WIld Country now, so if you would like to get the real thing please visit you nearest outdoors shop! Materials: PLA plastic, fishing line (to attach trigger bar to cam lobes), small rubber band (to apply preload force) One quick note: the tolerances can be tricky, but it you can dial everything in, its a great toy to have! I've attached a .thing file that includes all the parts laid out, and I've also attached the set of STL files. If you have any questions or would like to see the source files (designed in Solidworks 2012) feel free to contact me! Disclaimer: Don't use this for climbing or supporting anything above your head! It's made of plastic and could break easily!
