I have updated the files to include a spacer in the design to insure the home button stays unobscured. The speakers on an iPad Mini 3 face either left or right. This plastic "ear" points-the-sound toward the front at the viewer, greatly adding to the intelligibility of music and dialogue. Printed on Prusa I3 Electron in PLA with Nozzle=.4mm and layer height .3 extruder set to 212 and bed=50 NOTE: the new version includes a stopper, to prevent the ear from stlipping too far onto the iPad. The only issue is the span of the ear opening not having support. A bit of "sagging" results, a non-issue as far as use. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: RepRap Kossel Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .3 Infill: 100% Notes: I cut one mm from bottom when slicing both for time gained and not needed thickness kissing platen. Because the sound is redirected directly toward your ears, the sound appears louder, but no actual amplification is produced from this passive device. Post-Printing Nothing to Post Process How I Designed This Measured the thickness of the case, made a box to snugly fit. After several trial and error fittings, the third incarnation worked like a charm. Nice snug fit. Just don't push "the ear" too far onto the end of the iPad; i.e. beyond the cutout for the home button. However, even if you do, it will still work well.
