AmScope SM-Series Trinocular Microscope Eyepiece Adapter for DSLR & Smartphone Cameras

If you own an AmScope SM-series microscope, you may have noticed that you can get much better pictures by simply taking the picture through the 10x eyepiece, rather than using the trinocular tube. For whatever reason that tube just sucks! (Also the stock 10x AmScope eyepieces are really good.) The only problem with using the eyepiece however, is that you have to hold the camera at an very precise distance from the glass, and keep it perfectly perpendicular; essentially you have to hold it still on all 3 axis while taking the picture. This is almost impossible to do with one hand. So I made this thing to simplify the process. It actually works for both a DSLR adapter, as well as a smartphone adapter. For a DSLR or mirrorless camera, you also need the basic camera to microscope adapter, that is designed to fit in the trinocular tube. The adapter, made by Svbony, that I am using is this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QYZKSP8/ which is actually made for a Canon, but I am also using another adapter to make it fit my Sony mirrorless. So this adapter fits around that adapter, and then sits inside the rubber eye relief ring of the microscope eyepiece. And then for your smartphone you simply hold the phone in place with your hand, allowing the phone to sit directly on top of the adapter. The exact Z scale-modifier you will use to get this to work perfectly with your phone will depend on the type of phone and the case you have on it. TBH the picture quality is so good with this adapter, I will never go back to using the trinocular port with a dedicated 23.2mm tube camera.
