Amunthotep, son of Nibiry, sits proudly at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, his inventory number a testament to his enduring presence - 37.29E. Crafted from limestone and painted with vibrant pigment, this squatting statue dates back to approximately 1426-1400 B.C.E., an era marked by great change and upheaval. As you explore the museum's website, you can learn more about Amunthotep's story at https://www.brooklynmuseum.org/opencollection/objects/3940. The meticulous work of Arin Anderson and Amanda Ladd in capturing his photogrammetry is a true marvel. Mohamed Abdelaziz took it to the next level with his re-processing and PBR editing, resulting in a 3D model boasting an impressive 50k polygons, carefully cleaned up and UV'd in Zbrush. The texture baking of normal, AO, cavity, roughness, and specular maps was done in Xnormal, while Agisoft's delighter brought the albedo map to life. Final touches were added in 3dsmax, leaving Amunthotep ready for his close-up.
