This is a model of the anemometer with wind speed and direction measurements. The whole can be mounted to a 40 mm pole. Electronics inside contains 3 PCBs: 1. AS5048 demo board from Austria Microsystems in a set with round directional magnet (AS5048B-TS_EK_AB), 2. Interbase board with connectors and ESD protection (see Eagle files) and 3. Optical sensor board holding Omron optical switch EE-SX4340 (see Eagle files) Special items needed: 2 stainless steel ball bearings SKF W 625-2Z 2 screws M5x35mm 2 secure nuts M5 4 small screws to mount the AS5048 to base and two small screws for fixing top and bottom parts together The magnet for AS5048 is fixed on the M5 screw by pushing the head and the magnet to opposite holes in Round magnet spacer. The ball bearings are simply pushed to openings in the bottom and top base from top side. Gravity shall help to keep the bearings in place long-term.
