Anet A6 x-carriage with holder for flexible shaft
thingiverse
I've outfitted my Anet A6 with a versatile shaft holder that accommodates a diameter of 19.8 mm, essentially transforming it into a CNC machine. To utilize this feature, I'm running the Marlin firmware. For optimal performance, I adjust the configuration.h file by commenting out #define MIN_SOFTWARE_ENDSTOP_Z to enable negative Z-axis movement. I opted not to use the 18mm version for auto-leveling as part of my plan to upgrade to an E3D Chimera, which would leave insufficient space.
