Anet A6 NON-Invasive Z Axis Synchronzer This Anet A6 Z Axis synchronizer addresses a common issue inherent with all Dual Stepper Motor Z Axis drive systems. Any binding in the system can cause one or both steppers to miss or skip a pulse from the drive causing positioning issues and eventual print failures. Since these motors and drives do not use any type of position feedback the situation can become severe over longer distances. This system addresses this concern utilizing some simple, readily available components to mechanically overcome the problem. This mod still utilizes both Z Axis motors for positioning. The frame of the Anet A6 is built from simple acrylic sheet. The frame can easily become distorted by external forces; therefore, this system has been designed to be independent and non-invasive to the machine. The mechanism also, by its positioning above the LCD and manual control panel, affords full view of the LCD and manual controls as well as not restricting the Z height of the printer as built. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DW1PjBG8yBk&feature=youtu.be
