Anet A8 30A PSU Adapter
thingiverse
I revamped the design to utilize parameters that control the height of pillars and depth of nuts, rendering the original layout incompatible with standard screw lengths. I acquired an upgraded power supply unit for my A8, swapping out a 20A model for a more robust 30A unit. Unfortunately, the mounting holes on the new supply did not align with existing holes, prompting me to forego drilling new ones. The PSU features M5 mountings, but I lacked M5 screws of the correct length. Four M3 screw threads are located in the corners of the PSU, allowing for only 1.5mm screw depth. After some trial and error, I determined the exact positions of the holes, as depicted in the diagram. I printed the revised design, which worked flawlessly; I could have adjusted the nut recess depth but chose not to alter the design. I employed Fusion 360 for this project.
