Anet A8 / Anet A8 Plus Semi-Circle Fan Duct

Anet A8 / Anet A8 Plus Semi-Circle Fan Duct

thingiverse

Of all the fan ducts I've tried on the Anet A8, I found the semi-circle design performs best for me. I remixed Ikcognito's design to fit my cooling fan better. My Anet A8 is a newer version, made in 2020, and I've found that nearly every fan duct for the A8 that is on Thingiverse has a throat that is just a bit narrower than mine. In other words, the fan ducts just fall out immediately because they fit too loosely. If you are typically able to fit the majority of ducts floating around on Thingiverse, you probably should download the original from which this was derived. This remix is roughly .25mm bigger on the X and Y axis at the neck that slides into the fan. If you've had trouble with fan ducts falling out, then this remix might just be what you need. UPDATE 09222021: When I got my A8 Plus a few months ago, I decided I liked this semi circle fan design well enough that I'd shorten it to fit elevated nozzle of the A8 Plus. While I was at it, I added a 3 degree horizontal cant. The axial fans on both my A8 and A8 Plus have this same 3 degree offset at the exhaust. This offset may be the norm for these cheap Chinese axial fans because the two fans I bought for my Geeetech I3 Pro C have the same 3 degree offset. I left my original remix for the A8 version just in case somebody has an axial fan with an output that actually parallel to the build plate, titled "Fan_Semi_Circle.stl". The files labeled "A8_Semi_Circle_Fan.stl" and "A8Plus_Semi_Circle_Fan.stl" are the versions that reflect the above mentioned offset.
