Anet A8 Bowden Motor Mount Adapter Axis (like Cr 10) V1.2
thingiverse
EDIT 3: I created an adapter for the Airtripper Extruder (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:126778) as well. I republished this Thing to upload the final version that actually works as it should and added some related pictures along the way. This is a mount for attaching the stepper motor to the right side of the X-axis frame while using a Bowden Setup. I designed this because I encountered problems with the original setup when printing in the last third of the build height. With this adapter, the stepper is mounted to the side of the X-axis, inspired by the CR 10's design. It moves along with the Z-axis height, keeping the pressure in the Bowden tube consistent throughout the print. My design fits those three upgrades: The X-axis tensioner: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1683070 The Bowden motor mount, compatible with the Anet A8: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2204941 The Airtripper Extruder: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:126778 To install it, use longer screws to attach the adapter to the X-axis tensioner and secure it with two nuts. Then, screw the motor mount to the adapter using two stock M3 screws. For the Airtripper, you'll need bigger screws - I'm not sure of the diameter. Happy printing! I made this for use with M4 nuts to work better with the Belt Tensioner. I also moved the Extruder Motor to the front, allowing us to utilize the actual Z height. The push fit was blocking the last 30cm when mounted in the back, but now it works as expected.
