#####This is an E3D V6 (genuine and clone) direct drive mount for the Anet A8 and AM8 printers. This replaces the black rectangular metal mount that holds the original extruder motor and hot end. This mount re-uses the existing bearings and screws for connecting to the bearings. This should be printed in a temperature resistant material such as PETG or ABS ___ You will need the following parts: 1. V6 Style Hotend - [Genuine](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NAK9L6Q/?tag=pheneeny-20) or [Clone](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B4FHN72/?tag=pheneeny-20) 2. Small piece of PTFE bowden tubing (roughly 4-5") 3. 2x M3x18 or M3x20 screws 4. 2x M3x30 screws 5. 1x M4x10 hex bolt 6. 6x M3 hex nuts 7. Fan Shroud. I used this one: [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1620630](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1620630) ___ #####Instructions 1. Attach the 2x M3x30 belt holder screws to the mount. Tighten with an M3 hex nut. 2. Screw the mount to the bearings on the Anet A8 using the original M4 screws 3. Mount the blower fan onto the side of the mount using the original M3 screws and the two hex nuts. There is a hole in the opposite side of the mount that allows screw driver access. 4. Using the M3x18 (or M3x20) screws and the printed clamp, attach the V6 hotend. 5. Place the PTFE tubing through the hole in the top of the mount and into the hot end heat sink. 6. Place the extruder motor (with the extruder parts) on top of the mount, running the PTFE tubing through the hole that leads to the filament gear. You will need to cut the PTFE tubing down so that it goes as close to the filament gear and pulley as possible without touching them. 7. Once the PTFE tubing is the proper length, secure the extruder to the mount with the M4x10 hex bolt. Tighten it so that the extruder does not move. 8. Clamp belt ends to the back of the mount on the belt screws. Place another M3 hex nut on each screw end to keep the belt from moving. ___ #####Update April 8, 2018 Added a BLTouch clamp that holds the BLTouch 1mm higher to avoid collisions with print. #####Update Nov. 3, 2017 Added clamp with mount for BLTouch or 3DTouch (Tested with 3DTouch). You can use the same mounting screws that the clamp used before. Need an additional two M3 screws and nuts to mount the probe. The probe offset from the nozzle is 0 X and -38 Y Check out my new website for finding filament print settings: [3DPrintingDB.com](https://www.3dprintingdb.com/) My goal is to make it easy to find a starting point when using a new filament.
