Anet A8 Filament guide pully (2 versions)
thingiverse
I tested various filament guides but was dissatisfied with every design due to its limitations. To overcome this issue, I created custom guides allowing wheels to rotate freely during printing. This eliminates the risk of filament getting stuck in the guide. Both designs have been printed and used successfully. However, I prefer the double wheel pulley over the single wheel model, as it performs better. I printed these parts with support material. After completing the print job, I removed the support material carefully. Next, I inserted a thin utility knife between the wheels and the supporting structure, taking care not to damage either component. Once the knife was in place, I gently spun the wheel(s) until they rotated smoothly. Additionally, I needed to lightly sand the wheels to completely remove any remaining support material.
