I use this as a shield for my Heatbed. You need two of these and secure them to the rails. Next, adjust the Z switch to trigger at the height of the protector. After that, you can level the second side of the X-axis. I designed it because auto-leveling consistently crashed the firmware when I tried it on the bed initially. Also, be sure to adjust the bed's height accordingly. When running into the protector, the coupler expands; therefore, ensure the coupler hasn't expanded by the time the endstop is triggered.
