Anet A8 Inductive sensor with glass
thingiverse
I'm sharing this solution with you, because it's working flawlessly in my printer. I began using an inductive sensor instead of a capacitive sensor since my glass is 0.4mm thick and the inductor didn't function properly, while the capacitive sensor gave many errors due to its poor performance at varying temperatures. So I recalled that I had read somewhere that inductive sensors work well with iron but poorly with alloys. I purchased a sheet of iron measuring 22cm x 22cm x 0.8mm and placed it between the alloy heated bed and the glass, resulting in the inductive sensor working perfectly now with minimal reading errors and an ideal glass surface. Probably, this setup takes a bit longer to heat the bed, but I don't notice any difference. I wanted to share this solution with you because it's made a huge improvement.
