Simple, cheap, easy-to-make sturdy filament spool holder for Anet A8 and other Prusa-style printers. Why choose this over any of the other holders? First of all, it's easy to make and doesn't take up much filament. It also gets rid of the large prints you have to sit around and wait for common to frame-mounted filament holders. Also, it's fairly cheap. Depending on where you live, the necessary materials will cost you at most some 10-20USD/EUR/GBP, most likely a lot, LOT less. Mine ended up costing 2.50EUR for the M8 threaded rod (1 metre, so I was left with extra) and some filament. It's super simple. Anyone can put this together and even printers with not-so-accurate calibration will manage parts this size with ease. This also saves you filament for printing more cool stuff! What you'll need for this thing: -The printed parts, print two (2) of each. -Some M8 nuts and washers, you can and should reuse the Anet ones. -Three (3) 20cm/0.65ft/8" long pieces of M8 threaded rod (tip: dollar stores, walmart etc. misc stores most likely sell 1m/9ft rods for very low prices, check those.) You don't need super hard or coated ones, just the basic ones will do. -A tool for cutting the M8 threaded rod (a hacksaw will do fine). Alternatively you could ask a local auto shop or school/university to cut these if none of your friends, family or relatives have any tools fit for the job. -Two (2) 608zz or similar bearings with 8mm inner diameter. -Some thing to tighten and center the spool with, personally I use this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2217322 Don't forget to like, comment, collect and post makes!
