Here's a simple nut cap designed for the Anet A8 3D printer. This cap fits snugly onto the threaded rod located on the front acrylic face plates. Its beveled top edge ensures a smooth fit. The nuts are approximately 18mm long, with a hexagonal cutout that is about 15mm deep. The design doesn't interfere with the bed in any way. This nut cap was printed using 3D Solutech PLA at a resolution of 0.2 mm. It has a fast honeycomb infill pattern with 15% density. To add stability to the top, supports were added while printing. A horizontal offset from parts can be set as low as 0.3. Once printed, grab the supports firmly and twist them gently until they come loose. Most likely, the nut cap will separate in one piece. The design features a logo aligned flush with one side of the hexagonal bolt shape. If the bolts are not straight, the logo may not be perfectly aligned. However, this is an easy fix or can be dealt with easily.
