Designed to blow air onto the motherboard. Although the Anet 1.7 pcb is better than the older 1.0 it could still use some cooling otherwise your Mosfets will be toast one day soon. Unlike the old Anet A8, the plus doesn't necessarily need the auxiliary dual Mosfets added but this cooling mod is totally necessary. Print any layer height but switch support on to get those clips well supported. Uses the existing case but you will need to cut with a dremmel. mark it out like the photo, 20mm from the top edge of the case. first mark a square 60mmx60mm, then a second pencil line 2mm inboard 56mm x 56mm. The clips on the part use the outside edge of the slot to locate on, not the cut edge so the cuts do not have to be accurate. VERY IMPORTANT: File / deburr and clean the cut metal case where you made the cuts. You do not want any metal swarf landing on your mobo. You have been warned!! The fan required is a 60x60x10mm 24Vdc fan readily available on Amazon/ebay. it gets clipped in with label pointing inwards towards the PCB. The two wires get connected in at the spades on the RHS of the spade terminal block (24v) Good luck!
