Anet A8 Y Axis Tensioner Improved Design

Anet A8 Y Axis Tensioner Improved Design

thingiverse

This is an improved Y axis tensioner for Anet A8 printers. The bearing on the original design is constrained by pressure from the axial bolt, and is unable to rotate freely, resulting in unnecessary wear on the belt. And of course, is not adjustable. My design uses the original bearings, but spaced so doesn't rub against the sides, and can move freely. Both halves can be adjusted separately so you can get the belt running centred, and adjust the tension within a small range. Used in conjunction with my Y Axis Belt Clamp (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2249112), is a complete solution for your Y axis power transfer system. Please leave a comment if you like... Edit: July 16th 2017: I've changed the design slightly to bring the pulley in line with the motor pulley.
