Anet A8 Y Belt Tensioner Improved

Anet A8 Y Belt Tensioner Improved

thingiverse

Hi. I recently bought my anet, and started printing some upgrades. One of those was a belt tensioner. I printed 4 of them (all available here). However all of them broke a few prints later, and the last one didn't even fit the Anet A8 (even been designed for it). So I created my own from scratch, based on the A8 original one. On of the problems of other designs is the pressure angle (I did the same mistake on my first test). As the belt is above the 4 square holes, the tension made is something near to 15 degrees, and this caused them to broke on the knee. I applied a base that makes this tension almost 0. However this belt tensioner need you to also have the frame brace on this thing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1430727). Finally I also applied 2 end caps from this model (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1908554). The 2 screws distribute the pressure move evenly. note: this one already did more than 36h of printing without any issues. Print Settings Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 100 Notes: The model correspondes to the LEFT brace (looking to the Anet). To print the Right one just mirror it in the X axis. Post-Printing Maybe some sanding needed after print (depends on the quality of the printing)
