Anet A8 Z-Axis Lead Screw Bearing Block

Anet A8 Z-Axis Lead Screw Bearing Block

thingiverse

The Z-Axis bearing block was created to use a standard 608ZZ skate board/roller skate bearing. The ID of the bearing is 8mm which happens to be the OD of the A8 lead screw. The Z-Axis lead screw of the A8 is not supported and when doing fast moves will wander resulting in poor print quality and shifting of the X axis. The bearing block is designed to slip over the linear bearing support to maintain proper spacing and the end will index into the lead screw installation holes on both sides of the printer. The result is a "Fixed" bearing end for the lead screws. This mod/upgrade is easy to print and install, and will greatly improve print quality and resolution of the Anet A8. To install, simply remove the top corner braces from the printer (2 screws securing each), press the bearing into the block, slip the bearing over the linear rail and onto the lead screw, re-install the corner supports and your done... Happy Printing!
