It's quite surprising to realize that aligning the Z-rods often solve many bad print issues. It's good to calibrate its height once in awhile, there were some existing Z-rod align tool but they were either too short or not quite right. Introducing the double support Z-rod align tool. To use the tools, first turn off the motor and slide the extruder horizontally to the center of the heat bed, move the bed all the way out to the front. Place one of these tools on top of the y align rods, next manually rotate the z-rod motor up/down to align its top to support the horizontal rods, both upper & lower. Do the same on the other side using the second tool. Once done, just slide both tools back and take those off the rods. Lastly, issue commands on the Octoprint to align the Z-axis. The tools come in two versions: quick and easy (type2b), or strong and stable (type3c). Printed using PLA, 60mms 30% infill.
