When installing an auto leveling sensor to the ANET, replace the z-min switch with the z-probe.\r\n\r\nIn case of any issue with the z-probe, nothing will stop the Z axis and it may crash into the bed directly with the nozzle. This could cause severe damage to the printer (break the glass bed, bend rods, ...) and ruin your calibration!\r\n\r\nLast time I experienced a crash like that was when, after having modified the bed, I foolishly tried to auto-level my bed without heating the nozzle... and there was a thick drop of solid filament at the tip of the nozzle which exceeded the triggering distance of the z-probe.\r\n\r\nTo avoid this, I created this z-saver device. \r\n\r\nPrint two pairs of them, screw an M4 screw into each (a standard M4 screw will self-tap the PLA), clip them onto the bottom of the Z axis, and turn each screw so that the top of the screw is around 0.5 to 1 mm lower than each z carriage.\r\n\r\nIn case a problem occurs with the Z probe, the nozzle would still crash into the bed but only by less than 1 mm which would be harmless as the ANET allows some flexion (springs, rods, bed, springy z couplers...)...
