Anet AM8 Conversion to ATX Motherboard Test Bench

So I have moved on from my Anet AM8 and currently using a Creality Ender 3 V2 and couldn't be happier. The old frame was sitting there after some dismantling for parts for a Hypercube hybrid version and I was looking at ATX Motherboard test benches and wondered if I could make one out of the aluminum extrusion I had laying around. It turns out the AM8 frame fits the bill quite well. So I created some simple parts to help with mounting the motherboard, expansion cards, ATX power supply and hard drive. I also borrowed a handle from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4702410, with some modification so it could be used on 2040 extrusion. Very happy with the results although there is always room for improvement. Couple of things on printing / assembly: I mostly used the corner brackets, square nuts and M5x10 bolts from the AM8 build for the frame. Although some of the simpler fasteners for 2020/40 extrusion might be better for attaching the printed accessories so the can more easily be removed. The PCI bracket was printed with the mounting holes for the brackets facing the build plate with a brim. I used M3 4.2x3mm brass inserts for the PCI bracket screws and the motherboard mounting points. The handle base plates bolt to the underside of the handle before installing on the frame. Uses M5x10 bolts and square nuts for this. The hand is printed laying on its side with the slot for the square nut facing up. The vertical spaces aren't needed for support but they (1) give you the correct spacing between the horizontal 2040 extrusions to properly match an ATX board, and (2) the bottom spacer provides an additional mount point for mATX boards. As fully constructed, it should accept mITX, mATX and ATX motherboards. I also used the rubber feet from the AM8 on the bottom and mounted 4 on each foot .. one each front and back and one middle. Pay attention to how you print things. Parts were uploaded as is to Thingiverse and may not represent the proper orientation for correct printing. I emphasized printability without any supports. I will try and post my build at some point. Until then, enjoy building!
