How to change stepstick driver in Anet board, it's simple ATTENTION You make modifications at your own risk. I am not responsible for any damage resulting from the inability of the assembler. LAST UPDATE 15.08.2018 18:30 GMT: Please see new picture, some mistake in previus version. Look for datasheet, witch is 11pin on chip. No need change step/mm. NOTE TMC2208 runs in legancy mode in this mod. Modification also for other pcb with integrated A4988. Element designations may be different. Wat you need? - TMC2208 driver chip - 22nF ceramic capacitor - 24k resistor(to set VRef around 1V) - good heatsink Need to do 1. Replace A4988 to TMC2208 (same direction) 2. Cut patch to PIN 11. 3. Replace C1 to 22nF (signed C1 in X axis) 4. Replace R9 to around 24k (signed R9 in X axis) 5. Install a heat sink on the TMC2208 chip(it must adhere well) 1V Vref is for 0.75A stepper motor(defoult in Anet printer), if You have diferent motor, you can calculate using this formula, up to 1.2A max: Vref = (Irms * 2.5V) / 1.77A Irms = Current of Your motor example when Irms = 0.75A: Vref = (0.75A * 2.5V)/1.77A = 1.875 / 1.77 = 1.059V Source: http://blog.trinamic.com/2018/04/15/how-to-replace-an-allegro-a4988-with-the-tmc2208/ https://learn.watterott.com/silentstepstick/faq/
