SEE VIDEO BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS. ANET sent me their ET5X printer for review and testing so I put it through several months of printing as my primary printer. In this video I also show you the basic set up, and I share my Prusa Edition Slicer settings for this printer to get you started quickly if you bought this printer! Unlike other channels that print a few pieces and tell you the printer is great, I went through many, many rolls of filament to test the printer over hundreds of hours of printing to bring you a real review with a real opinion and to dial in the settings. No major modifications were made to the printer, just some very small improvements to the filament path such as the parts included below. These reduce the friction in the filament path and will help with under extrusion if you are experiencing that. ► YOU ARE HERE Additionally, I added this bowden tube knob to make filament loading and unloading more convenient. ►https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3176144 To access the Prusa Edition Slicer settings, see the github link below: ► https://github.com/doublec4/ET5X_SETTINGS.git Overall my experience was positive and I think this printer is a fantastic foundation for a custom printer set up. I was seeing some really, really nice prints especially considering the price for this printer is under $300 to begin with. I had a few small issues with the z probe but I will be eliminating those in the future with a regular mechanical end stop. Future videos for this machine include Duet Wifi Control, all metal direct drive hot end, and some other upgrades. Please consider subscribing to follow along with the build! If you have any questions be sure to put them in the comment section, I try to get back to everyone. Thank you! #DIY #3DPRINTING #FILAMENT
