Angled Speaker Wall Mount

Angled Speaker Wall Mount

This is a speaker wall mount I designed to hang my rear surround speakers up near the ceiling. My speakers are Monoprice brand and the back faces measure 100mm wide by 160mm tall. Depth wasn't pertinent so I don't remember it. The angle of the bracket was just right so that the bottom the speaker came 5mm from the wall. The center hole is sized for the machine screw that fit my speakers: 1/4" diameter. I think this is a standard size for speakers but I'm not sure. Including the design I did in Sketchup since I assume it'll need to be modified for a speaker of any other size. If you want to make your own versions you might think about a better way to screw in the machine screw. The install instructions are to put the machine screw in the bracket, screw the bracket into a stud, plug the wires into your speaker, then put your speaker on the screw and try to turn it with a wrench from behind the speaker. The last step is awkward and you can't see what you're doing. I ended up printing a flat wrench for the job.
