"Angry octopus" steering wheel.

A design concept for steering the Bloodhound. When you look at it, the first thought crossing Your mind is probably: Why does it looks like a toy cart wheel? The answer is not as simple as it looks. The first thing, why I have choosen this design, was weigth. The Bloodhound is a super fast car, I dont think anyone wants to use a 2kg steering wheel in it. The second, and more important thing is, that the pilot of the car will be under big stress, and under those conditions he/she will have beter things to do, than to search for the right button to press, thats why I put big, colorful buttons on the wheel. The third thing is ergonomy. All the buttons are placed on an arc, so they can be easily pressed without releasing the steering whel. I think these things are before aesthetics. Additional info: lcd display in the middle and led lighted numbers on the top. Material: titanium, plastic buttons(PP?), and rubber grip. WIP (still trying to get better looks, and some ergonomy tests)
