Animal Key Chain Phone Stand

Whenever I’m at home watching videos on my phone, I often look for a phone stand near by. I usually watch my videos then want to look on social media, I soon realize that the stand can’t go vertical. For our Engineering Design Project we decided to make a Animal Key-Chain Phone Stand. We decided to make the phone stand where it can hold the phone both sideways and vertical because most phone stands only hold the phone sideways and when you try to have it stand vertically, the stand and the phone will fall. The ear is also a hidden. Our design will be in the shape of an elephant and will also include a keychain.The keychain will make our design portable and easy for travel. With this design we hope to provide a phone stand with no errors or room for improvement. A specific problem we had while making our design, was that we had a hard time making the trunk for the elephant. We wanted it to look like an elephant, but at the same time hold a phone. So to solve this problem we decided to look at different types of phone stands on Amazon, eBay, in tech stores, to get inspiration to help build this phone stand. We also checked on Tinkercad how to make the trunk. We decided to play around with the tools until we found a way to create the shape of trunk so it could support a phone. In the end, we found a way to solve and fix this problem in the process of making this phone stand.The dimensions for our design are going to be pretty small, because it is just a model. The dimensions of the elephant (excluding the chain) is 6.05 centimeters in height and 7.5 centimeters in length, and is 3.005 centimeters in width. The keychain is 6.648 centimeters in length and 0.639 centimeters in width.If our design was made out of silicone in the future, it would cost $25 per pound, not including the chain. With identical copies of this, it would cost less. But for one item it would only cost about $3.50.
