Animated Halloween Prop

Animated Halloween Prop

thingiverse

I created this to be a prop in a haunted house. The idea was inspired by other animated Halloween props I have seen at various stores, and by the movie poltergeist. I have posted a YouTube video showing it in action, plus some of the behind the scenes stuff from the build. Unfortunately I don't have any time-lapse of any of the prints. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvaW0t6TS_U&feature=youtu.be Instructions Build Materials: 1 of each printed part (note, you may need to modify the base to fit your motor) 1 Motor (I used a Hi Tec HS-422 Deluxe continuous servo) 2 switches (I used "SPDT Switch Without Roller" from Radio Shack) 1 Skull that you can put LED's in as eyes (I used thing 27944 from Thingiverse) 2 bright 3 color LEDs 1 button (or other mechanism to activate) 1 Arduino (I used an UNO) 1 mp3 player or other audio player ( I used this one from sparkfun: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8849 ) I was inspired by many different things on Thingivers. Too many to list here, but very little of this was truly my own idea, I just put it together from looking at the great and wonderful things everyone else has created! Note, I don't have schematics for the wiring, but it probably should be tailored anyway. You will need to drive a motor or servo forward and backward. Have two switches hooked up to know when to stop rotating the head. Some type of button or other way to activate the animation. The ability to start and stop playing an Mp3 or other audio file. And the ability to drive the tri-color leds.
