My new project in the field of optical illusions is the animated (cinematic) sculpture “The Apple of Discord”. On the counter-form, one can see people's faces, as in an old illusion with a vase from Danish psychologist Edgar Rubin. But unlike her, when rotating the sculpture, you can see how they talk. The plot is inspired by the ancient myth of the golden apple, which began the debate about female beauty and the Trojan War. In order to get the effect, you can use a rotating table or just rotate the apple in your hands.
