Another Sony PCM-M10 Shock Mount Design

Another Sony PCM-M10 Shock Mount Design

thingiverse

An improved version of the shock mount for the Sony PCM-M10 digital recorder. Like the previous version, this one allows access to all switches and jacks while mounted. This design includes a tripod mount that is interchangeable with a handle for hand-held use. Instructions I printed using ABS with with 0.2mm layers, 40% infill, 2 layer walls, top and bottom, no raft, no brim, no support. Note: the photo shows a slightly different handle from the included STL file. The STL file is from the SpaceLaser project, as is the tripod mounting rail. The rail and handle will slide into the frame of the shock mount. They are a tight fit by design. Work them back and forth a few times to loosen them. You may need to use a file on the edges of the rail and handle, depending on how well your printer is calibrated. Don't over do it! Use 6-32 screws to connect the pieces, a 1/4-20 nut for the tripod mount rail, and a 1/4-20 screw to attach the recorder to the 'sling".
