Support are necessary unfortunately. I m not a great designer sorry. I put some superglue but this new version is a snap on version and should not required glue, unless it leaks without glue. This should prevent the ants going from the hook to the feeder. I also designed it in a way where "bigger" birds than humming birds can perch and drink water.
