Anti-freezing plates for roller shutters

thingiverse

With temperatures below zero at least one of my roller shutters froze to the windowsill. My windows have little vents on each side, so any moisture from the inside froze immediately outside between the sill and the roller shutter. So I made this little plates, printed four of them and glued them to the sill exactly in line where the roller shutter makes contact with it. Since then I never had any problems again. Simple, easy to print and effective. Just print as many as you need and put some double-sided adhesive on the bottom. I usually use 3M 4229P which can also be removed very easily. I would normally suggest to use ABS for outside usage but I am using PLA for a long time now outside and inside without any problems.
