Anti Z wobble for Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro X

After getting my Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro X 3D printer several years ago I didn't have anything to compare my prints to, but recently many colleagues have since bought newer printers. I was amazed at the quality of their prints. I began a process to find the source of my issues. I switched from Silc3r to Cura, which made a huge difference in that I was able to fully customize feed rates, speeds, acceleration, jerk speed, etc. After tweaking all these things and getting really good prints I found I still had lines in my prints. I had no idea what this was called, and eventually discovered the term Z Wobble. I tried several prints from this site but none really worked for me, so set on creating my own. After the 3rd iteration I believe I have my solution. I hope it works for you too. It should work with other Geeetech Prusa i3 series printers, I think. As this is a work piece and not a finished piece of art I printed at my default head nozzle diameter of 0.3mm. So how does this work? Instead of connecting your X carriage directly to the Z rods the X carriage floats on the Z allowing the movement and bent rods to not directly impact and move the X carriage, or wobble it. Unbolt the X carriage part that connects to the Z rods with a copper rod nut thingy (I don't know the name of it). Bolt this part to the copper nut and allow your X carriage to rest on top of the plastic part. Test your printer by moving the Z up and down several times, for example, up 100-150mm and then down again. If it sticks anywhere try to find out why it's sticking. Your bent rods could be causing this and you may need to also rotate your straight rods the X carriage slides up and down on. The other part of the plastic part must be secured into the smooth rod side, this allows the Z to move up and down by holding the copper nut part in place. In the images I've shown some before and after images of a standard 20mm calibration cube. Hopefully you can see the big difference! Again, hope this works for you!
