Antonie van Leeuwenhoek Microscope
thingiverse
This is a basic reconstruction of the first-ever made microscope. In the 1670s, Dutch businessman Antonie Philips van Leeuwenhoek designed a device meant to inspect fabric quality. During some observations, he noticed tiny organisms and his interest in the microcosm took off from there. (More info on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonie_van_Leeuwenhoek) I built it for the science festival to show people and kids how the first microscope was invented.
