Mount for inductive Probe (12mm / 18mm) for Anycubic Prusa I3 metal X carriage. The mount consists of two parts, the probe holder and the carriage mount. The carriage mount part is available in a straight version that enables easier assembly but is quite on the edge with the X end stop switch. The angled version keeps the probe clear from end stop but there hardly is a way to detach it with mounted carriage. There are some instructables like this one, explaining how to connect the probe using a voltage divider. I use a tiny reed relais to run the probe parallel to the mechanical Z endstop that I wanted to keep as fallback. The parts are designed a little tight, printed with PLA screw holes and fittings will need a bit of sanding before they connect properly. 1 additional M3x10 Phillips screw is supposed to hold things in place. The main task in mounting an inductive probe is to get it as orthogonal as possible to the bed. If it is only a little out of angle the detection range will be reduced and become unreliable. If using Marlin, I'd suggest to update to 1.1.0 RC8 or later. Print Settings Printer: Anycubic I3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 25-30% Notes: Best print position for the probe mount is to print it with the probe ring on bed. Support should not be necessary. Parts are a bit tight by design and will need a little sanding to fit smooth and firm into position. The realistic detection range for an inductive probe to Aluminium bed is 2mm or less.
