This will help me to create new things for you and for the whole community, Thank you! https://www.paypal.me/RobertoMacchi INTRODUCTION Although some companies do not deserve to be considered for the bad after-sales service provided to customers, I thought that to pay should not be the users who innocently trusted a particular brand, and I therefore wanted to contribute equally to solve two of the problems greater than this printer, which in other aspects remains an excellent product with which to print for years with satisfaction: its overheating and the vibrations produced. I recently suffered a fire principle with this printer, because the mosfet that regulated the heating bed was undersized and mounted directly on the slightly cooled motherboard. I managed to miraculously save the printer and for safety I installed a more powerful external mosfet. Here then I decided that it was necessary to do something to improve the cooling of this product still in the original stock. This foot provides an excellent insulation from the base of support both as regards the attenuation of the enormous vibrations to which the i3 Mega is subjected by rattling like an old locomotive, and especially due to the insufficient ventilation caused by the design of a too low rubber it does not allow the regulation of the necessary air flow. This foot that I designed really reduces the noise that this printer in stock produces, going to unload the micro movements on the ball in TPU specially designed, and at the same time and especially keeps the printer raised from the base of support, favoring the air inlet and facilitating the work of the cooling fans in charge. I thought about reusing the original rubber pad by integrating it into the TPU ball because I realized that it has more grip than the squash balls that are normally used for these purposes. The fact of having been able to reuse the original components makes me feel better both on an ecological and practical level, and also moral because I think I have made my small contribution to improving this printer which in general remains a valid product to print in a rather accurate. Good prints to everyone!
