Anycubic I3 Mega Dual Outlet Part Cooler Fan Duct

Anycubic I3 Mega Dual Outlet Part Cooler Fan Duct

This is just another dual sided part cooling fan duct for the I3 Mega, using the stock single fan. This is a simple design with a focus on generating a targeted, high speed airflow to the nozzle. The weight of this duct is approximately the same as the original one-sided metal duct (15.5 g). The use of a silicone sock is recommended because of the tight clearing to the heat block on the right side of the duct. The construction was done in FreeCAD, the design file is included, so you can play with the outlet sizes and angles or even make a remix of the whole thing. Printing should be easy without supports, some bridging is neccessary, but for me this was no problem to print with the stock I3 Mega single parts cooling duct. To mount the duct properly to the part cooling fan, use M2.5 nuts, because we have no threads in the part. The original back right M3 screw for the hotend cover can be a bit short, so it may be neccessary to replace it with a longer one. A simulation on Simscape was also done, more detailed results can be viewed here https://www.simscale.com/projects/rgraf/i3m_double_fan_duct/. This was my first try of a simulation, so no warranty on the accuracy of the results. This thing can be combined with my design for a low noise hotend cover, see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4878657 Updates: 2021-05-30: Added STL of a "light" version with carved out air guides, saves another gram of weight
