Hi guys ! Let's eliminate this unsightly inefficient and noisy stepper motor driver fan ! Tired of hearing the sound of the inexpensive fan stepper drivers I decided to tackle my favorite solidworks software to solve the problem ... No matter you got the stock stepper motors driver or any upgrade (5 TMC 2208 Drivers is one of the best improvement you can do for this stock noisy printer, but one of the best for the money.. ), the dimensions are the same... Here you will find the universal guide for all types of fans In any case you fix the air guide to the pcb with 2 screws (4x) M3x12 Either you use (like me) the original 50x10 anycubic stepper motor fan, or you opt for an effective but expensive Noctua 50x10 or 50x 20 Either you use a 40x10 or 40x20 or other.... you just have to choose the right fan adapter. I suggest this 40x40 Noctua Fan ...the Roll-Royce... http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/t404fkk Or a cheap version but very quiet and a very good brand.. Sunon MagLev http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/bkBs4qMC I didn't glue the parts together, place the air duct, use 2 x M3x12mm to fix it on the gorilla pcb holder, just insert the assembly with the right fan mounted in.. The sound decreased by 7db ... The hot air is sent efficiently from inside of the case to the outside of the case. This is all beneficial for the cooling of the power supply, the fan of which seems to be less solicited The air flow cooled the heatsink mounted on the upper side of the steppers motor controllers and the chips placed on the bottom side of the controllers. (I'm even wondering if I will not put a series resistance with the fan so that it runs more slowly and therefore makes even less noise, because the expelled air is still cold) P.S. Please Post your print ! I spend hours to design the object, please give me 2 min to post your realisation ;) Happy Printing !
