2nd remix from Versus3D great design. https://thingiverse.com/thing:3757187 I never liked small plastic threads and even though the attachments for the mag balls are working great from Hayden I wanted to have everything in one assembly and the weight savings is significant going from aluminum to plastic with no degradation in quality for me. Running great for couple weeks testing is complete. I designed this effector plate with slots for 3 M2 nuts blower fan attachment and 2 M3 nuts for the metal plate used to attach to homing sensor. Made a few modifications to the design to exit the hot end air more efficiently and went through the whole design fixing gaps etc and making everything symetrical. I used MatterHackers Carbon Fiber PETG and did a color change or pause right at the point where the screws are being covered in plastic embedding the nuts into the design. Everything is perfectly symmetrical where the center of the E3DV6 attaches to the effector with the stock spacing of mag balls at 76mm. Just like it was intended originally with Haydens adapters. I had my original design installed aluminum effector with my e3dv6 plastic attachment on the top at 94 grams this new design is about 68 grams significant weight savings but depends how much infill. I used 15% gyroid. Please note I use 4020 blower fans so basically the effector has 5 holes 3 for the fan and 2 for the leveling plate. If your using stock fan assembly this wont work since holes were removed. Good tip is when inserting the nuts at the pause use the screw to push it in makes it easier once inserted then screw it out. Use Bakaks 4020 fan version its the best ! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3878652 Please don't forget to post pics when your done its enjoyable when other makers find their hard work useful.
