Apex RC GoPro Mount (TPU) - Redesign

thingiverse

This is a complete redesign of one of the GoPro mounts for the Impulse RC Apex Frame. The ones we tried, failed by ripping of at the throughholes of the screws. In case of a crash or an impact, the chances are high that the GoPro will be completely or partially ripped off. This redesigned version is stronger in all Places while keeping the opening for the FPV camera for the most uptilt without impeeding the view. The Holding Plate redistributes the downforce so that the flexible TPU part is much more secure. The plate with the skirt might provide some additional protection. You choose. (Disclaimer, at the time of the upload i haven't flown this new version, will update as soon as it was maiden, Pictures will follow) I printed everything on the BambuLab X1C with modified settings, but your printer will be different, i guess. The Baseplate likes 70% and upward infill, while the Holdingplate should be 100% infill. I strongly recommend 3 Walls for the Baseplate. We replaced the screw holding the GoPro in place, since it's sticking out so much to the side, that it interferes with the left forward prop, decreasing it's efficiency. I will update this thing as it progresses. Have fun making your own, and bounce one of for us :) Baseplate - TPU HoldingPlate - PLA
