<p>This is a 40mm fan adapter for the Apple Macintosh LC series of machines and machines that share the same chassis. Such LC, LCII, LCIII, Performa 475, LC 475, Quadra 605 and probably a couple others.</p> <p>The stock fan is a 60mm x 15mm thick 12V fan. Most of the quiet 60mm fans are 25mm thick which won't fit in the LC chassis fan clips. And the 15mm thick ones are kinda noisy, so I designed this adapter plate to allow the popular 40mm fans such as the Noctua series to be used. The stock Apple 60mm fan has its positive and negative wires reversed from regular PC fans.
