<p>Update: I just re-did this from the ground up! I fixed some of the corners and made it more parametric. Try the V2 folder if you'd like to give it a shot.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I wanted a protective sleeve when throwing my apple Pencil in my backpack. However, I didn't like the options I saw around. All the prints require unscrewing, unsnapping, or other multi-part motions to get the pencil in and out.</p><p>My design is a simple single-piece print that protects the apple pencil from the insides of a backpack (especially the tip), while being near effortless to stow and retrieve.</p><p>It uses a friction-fit and the compliant nature of the plastic to hold the pencil, and you can just drag it out with your fingers when you need it.</p><p>I want this to be an open-source project, so here's the source Fusion360 file:</p><h5>Apple Pencil Gen Two:</h5><p><a href="https://a360.co/3bSebmr">https://a360.co/3bSebmr</a></p><h5>Apple Pencil&nbsp;Gen One:</h5><p><a href="https://a360.co/3rNXn6N">https://a360.co/3rNXn6N</a></p><p>It has a parameter called "WiggleRoom" that determines how tight the pencil-passage is.<br>For my Prusa Mk3S, 0.04 was way too tight, and 0.5 was way too loose. The pencil should slide in and out without effort, but be tight enough not to fall out on its own.</p>
