Apple scratter. Turns apples into pulp which can be turned into juice using an apple press. Fits Electrolux EKM37100 and EKM3710 Orbital Stand Mixer. This is not an original Electrolux part or design. ### CAUTION **This is a dangerous tool that can cause serious injury. Use at your own risk. Do NOT allow children to use it or to handle the toothed drum. You can hide the hex key if you don't want others to use the apple scratter.** **PETG plastic parts will be in contact with apple pulp. There is a risk of chemicals leeching from the plastic into the pulp.** I have used the apple scratter with success. I have improved the design a bit after that, but have not tested the improvements. ### Tools needed for the build * A permanent marker. * A heavy duty diagonal cutter (for example Knipex high leverage diagonal cutter). * Gripping pliers. * An angle grinder or a metal file. ### Tools needed for making juice from apples * Electrolux EKM37100 or EKM3710 Orbital Stand Mixer. * An apple/juice/fruit/cider press. ### Bill of materials * 5/16" hex Allen key from the Allen 56606G 9-piece set. * NSK 6201V sealed 12x32x10 bearing (or other 6201 bearing). * 4 pcs (for regular drum) or 7 pcs (for drum with extra teeth) 2 mm bicycle spokes from a 28" bicycle wheel. * A wooden plunger with 6-10 cm diameter business end. * Non-toxic PETG filament (glycol modified polyethylene terephthalate). * Food contact approved PP filament (polypropylene) or other food contact approved filament that is slippery and softer than PETG, to ensure that the food contact approved filament will wear rather than PETG. ### Before printing * The Allen key is a bit too large to fit the mixer. Sand, grind or file 4 cm of the long end of the Allen key symmetrically until it fits.
