Apulian Traditional Trullo

Apulian Traditional Trullo

Hi everybody, I am from Villa Castelli, a tiny village which belongs to Apulia, a region in the southern part of Italy. In my area there is a typical construction called 'trullo' which is a traditional Apulian dry stone hut with a conical roof. Trulli were generally constructed as temporary field shelters and storehouses or as permanent dwellings by small proprietors or agricultural labourers. They are very famous in the city of Alberobello, and in general in the Itria Valley. I am proud of my region and its traditions, so I decided to enter this challenge with this small building, which is the symbol of my beautiful region. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trullo about the Trullo and its history... ...And: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apulia about the beautiful region where I live.
