NOTE: 1/8" glass is not thick enough. Ended up with a cracked bottom. It is fine if you are not putting water in it. Update will be coming for 1/4" glass This was designed for my wife's frog habitat in the office. We needed a custom Aquarium for the enclosure and we were to cheap to hire it done. From a local glass shop we sourced 1/8" glass. We were pleasantly surprised it is very sturdy and holds water with no leaks. The frogs, tadpoles and fish are quite happy and best of all the wife is happy. 16.5 gallon aquarium Materials 1/8" glass 1- 16"x20, 2- 12"x20", 2- 14 3/4""x12" Other needed items is Aquarium silicon. One tube is more than enough. Printing Print two of each file. Assembly We laid out the bottom four corners and laid a bead of silicon around the inside wall. Laid the bottom in and made sure it was tight together. Next step was the lay a small bead of silicon in the printed top slot. After that we laid a bead of silicon around the edges of the bottom glass and started putting the sides in. Apply Silicon on all corners and make sure you wipe away any excess silicon from the glass. NOTE: This was my first experiment with building an aquarium. There is a few things I would do differently. I put too much silicon on pretty much every surface and ended up spending FOREVER cleaning up my mess. You will notice that there is a slight gap on between all the corners. This was by design as I was in a hurry to design and print this. Figured I would come back later and print pieces to fit in between the corners to make it look good. Well it got installed before those pieces were designed and printed..........so not going to happen.
