Aquarium Desk Lamp Adapter

Aquarium Desk Lamp Adapter

thingiverse

I needed a light in my fish tank to grow some algae to supplement the diet of the fish. But, I was too cheap to buy an aquarium light. So, I decided to use a spare desk lamp I had. Had to print this little adapter so it would stay put. Obviously, use at your own risk, electricity and water don't mix well. GFCI outlet recommended. prints okay with no supports. update 1-15-19: If the light was too far forward, the old adapter could rotate forward. I have updated with a much tighter fitting adapter. This is designed after careful measurements of my aquarium. I assume not all aquariums are the same. If this doesn't fit yours, send me some pictures and measurements of yours and I'll try to get another file up. I've removed the old more generic one as I'm concerned it wasn't very safe.
